Therapeutic Crisis Intervention

To prepare for and address crisis situations, CRCS staff members are trained and led by a Crisis Team consisting of three individuals, Mrs. Penny Harmon, Mr. Mark Gibson, and Mr. Joel Dahle.  The Crisis Team maintains the time-out room, where students have the time and space to de-escalate, address behavior, and eventually return to the classroom.

What Is the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention System?

The purpose of the TCI system is to provide a crisis prevention and intervention model for residential child care organizations that will assist in:
-Preventing crises from occurring
-De-escalating potential crises
-Effectively managing acute crises
-Reducing potential and actual injury to children and staff
-Learning constructive ways to handle stressful situations
-Developing a learning circle within the organization
